Emergency services responded to a fatal house fire on Humes Avenue, Hanwell, West London, early on Sunday morning (4 May 2025).
Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) were first mobilised at around 5am after receiving reports of a fire in a house with persons reported inside.
Multiple emergency calls were received as thick smoke was seen rising from the property.
Despite swift firefighting efforts, it was later confirmed that there had been a fatality at the scene.
The Fire Investigation Unit (FIU) of the London Fire Brigade has taken charge of the investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
The address in West London remains cordoned off this morning, with specialist teams conducting forensic examinations.
