Fatal Fire Claims Lives in Kuwait: 41 Dead and Dozens Injured

A devastating fire erupted early this morning in a building housing workers in the southern Mangaf district of Kuwait, resulting in the loss of at least 41 lives. The incident has left dozens injured, according to the Health Ministry.

The densely populated area, predominantly inhabited by foreign labourers, witnessed the tragic blaze. However, authorities have not yet released information regarding the nationalities of the victims.

Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad al-Yousuf al-Sabah visited the site and promptly ordered the arrest of the building’s owner. In a sombre statement, Sheikh Fahad attributed the disaster to the avarice of real estate proprietors. He holds dual roles as head of the interior and defence ministries.

Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control, but the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Preliminary reports indicate that the building primarily served as accommodation for workers. Despite the heroic efforts of rescue teams, many lives were lost due to smoke inhalation.
