The family of Lee Starr, who tragically died following an assault at the Foxhill motocross near Wanborough on June 22, has paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
In a deeply moving statement, Lee’s family expressed their overwhelming grief and loss: “Words cannot possibly even begin to convey the sense of shock and loss we feel.
Lee Starr was described as a devoted family man who cherished his roles as a father, husband, grandfather, son, and friend. “Lee was the best dad, husband, grandad, son, and friend and was devoted to his family,” his family wrote.
“He had loads of friends and he was loved by everybody; his friends would say ‘Everybody needs a little bit of Lee Starr in their life’. And they did. Lee was wise and always knew how to make things right.”
The family recalled Lee’s gentle nature and his ability to bring joy to those around him: “He was kind and soft, and he was my calm to my chaos. He brought light and joy to anyone who met him, and now life will never be the same without him.”
Lee’s legacy will continue through his three children, granddaughter, and the countless fond memories his family and friends will hold dear. Lee will live on through his three children and granddaughter and the many, many happy memories that have been shared with us,” they added.
The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this devastating loss.
Wiltshire Police continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Lee’s tragic death and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
