Emergency Services Rush to Major Incident in Ashford Town Centre

A large-scale emergency response unfolded in Ashford town centre on Wednesday night, with police, paramedics, and an air ambulance rushing to Bank Street following reports of a serious incident.

The street was cordoned off near to  Lloyds Bank just after 8:30pm, as multiple emergency vehicles were seen arriving at the scene. Eyewitnesses described a heavy presence, with at least two ambulances and two police cars stationed nearby.

An air ambulance was reported to have landed in a field behind St Mary’s Primary School, opposite Eastern Avenue, shortly after the initial emergency callout. Several residents also reported hearing sirens along Godinton Road and Hythe Road, as emergency services responded swiftly to the unfolding situation.

At around 9pm, an ambulance was seen leaving the area, heading in the direction of William Harvey Hospital.

Incident Details Still Unconfirmed

As of 10pm, the exact nature of the incident remains unconfirmed, and authorities have not yet released an official statement. Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance have all been contacted for comment.
