Emergency services rushed to the scene of a major road traffic collision this evening on Whalebone Lane South near Meadway Court, after three vehicles were involved in a serious crash that left at least one person trapped inside a car that had overturned.

The incident, reported just after 7pm on the 30th April 2025 resulted in multiple fire, police, and ambulance crews attending the scene. The London Fire Brigade at the scene confirmed that crews used specialist cutting equipment to free a trapped occupant from one of the vehicles.

Traffic was brought to a standstill in both directions as emergency services secured the area. Drivers were urged to avoid Whalebone Lane South as cordons were placed around the crash site to allow safe working space for responders.

Public Witnesses and Community Response
Residents nearby reported hearing a loud crash and seeing blue lights flooding the street within minutes. Social media posts described multiple emergency vehicles arriving rapidly, and paramedics treating injured individuals at the scene.
One witness said: “The whole road was lit up with police and fire engines. It looked really serious. I just hope everyone involved is okay.”
