Emergency services are responding to a serious road traffic collision on the A13 near Gateway 10 and the junction with New Road in Rainham, where people are reported to be trapped following a car vs trailer collision.
The incident was reported shortly after 9:15pm, with the London Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police, and London Ambulance Service (LAS) all being called to the incident
Initial reports confirm at least one person is trapped inside the vehicle, prompting a major rescue operation by fire crews and Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service
Traffic is heavily congested in the area, with the A13 partially closed to allow emergency vehicles access to the scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.
