Emergency Services Respond to Reports of Person in Water Near Erith

Lifeboat teams, Marine Police, and boat crews were dispatched on Saturday, November 2, following reports of a person in the water between Erith and Woolwich, near the Amazon warehouse on Church Manorway. Emergency services were alerted shortly after 4 p.m. and quickly mobilised to assist.

The coordinated response included lifeboat crews working alongside the Marine Police Unit to search the area and provide any necessary assistance. Tragically, a body was discovered on the shore during the operation.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, and authorities have yet to release any further details regarding the individual’s identity or the events leading up to the discovery. Police have cordoned off the area while inquiries are carried out to establish what happened.

Local residents reported seeing a large emergency response near the riverbank, expressing their concern as teams worked diligently to secure the scene.
