Emergency services are currently at the scene of an aircraft crash near the village of Thorganby, south of York, North Yorkshire. The incident, involving a light aircraft, was reported to authorities at approximately 9:50 AM today.
North Yorkshire Police, along with fire crews and paramedics, quickly responded to the emergency. The area has been cordoned off, with police directing villagers and onlookers away from the crash site to ensure safety and facilitate the ongoing response efforts.
Witnesses reported seeing the Yorkshire Air Ambulance depart from the scene at around 11:30 AM, indicating that emergency medical personnel were quick to attend to the incident. Members of the coastguard were also reported to be present, assisting with the response.
