The tree, believed to have been weakened by heavy rain and wind, fell across the entrance, leaving the pair unable to exit.

The couple were treated at the scene by emergency responders. It is currently unclear whether they sustained any injuries. The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for further details.

The tree remains resting in the couple’s front garden as local authorities assess the damage and determine the next steps for removal.
