UPDATE: Emergency services attend serious collision on Eastern Road in Portsmouth

Emergency services have been called this morning to Easter Road to a serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle. Hampshire Police along with paramedics were called to the scene at 11.30am this morning Thursday 9th November. It is understood that the motorcyclist sustained serious, life threatening injuries. Motorists have been advised to find alternative routes. Officers have advised that the road will be closed for a number of hours whilst accident police investigation is ongoing. The collision involved a motorcycle colliding with a black ford focus that was pulling out from Hayling Avenue. Eastern road closure is likey to remain in place for a number of hours. Paramedics and air ambulance doctor worked on the motorcyclist, a man in his 50’s, he has now been taken by air ambulance to hospital. A resident who asked not to be named said “moments before the collision, I saw the motorcyclist riding on the white hatchings”.
