Emergency crews called to Accident Blackspot on the Isle of Wight

Emergency services are attending a collision involving two vehicles on Forest Road on the outskirts of Newport this afternoon (Monday). They were called just after 2.30pm. Officers from Hampshire Constabulary have closed the road in both direction The collision has occurred at the Vittlefields crossroads where Whitehouse Road and Betty Haunt Lane meet Forest Road. Two fire crews from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are on scene working to free two people who are thought to be trapped in their vehicles. Fire crews are also carrying out scene safety. A number of resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have also been mobilised to the incident
