In a distressing incident, an elderly man was robbed while visiting a family grave at Milltown Cemetery in west Belfast. The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 18, shortly after 09:30, leaving the victim shaken and the community concerned about the safety of visitors to the cemetery.

According to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), the elderly man was approached by three men, aged between 20 and 30, who allegedly took a “considerable amount of money” from him before fleeing the scene. The suspects were last seen heading towards the cemetery wall near Sainsbury’s.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in identifying the culprits. Detectives are particularly interested in any eyewitness accounts or details that may lead to the apprehension of the suspects.
