Driver Trapped After Car Crashes Into Tree on Edgware Road on the A41

Emergency services are responding to a serious road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of Edgware Road (A41), where a car has struck a tree near Broadfields Avenue, leaving at least one person trapped inside the vehicle.

The crash occurred shortly after 11:04pm on Sunday 6th July 2025, and has triggered a major emergency response involving the London Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police, and London Ambulance Service.

Rescue Operation Underway

According to Police sources on the scene one person is confirmed to be trapped in the vehicle. Fire crews are working to safely extract the individual, while paramedics remain on standby to provide immediate medical treatment.

It is not yet known if any other vehicles were involved or whether additional injuries have been reported.

Road Closures and Traffic Disruption

The eastbound lanes of Edgware Road (A41) are currently blocked while emergency responders deal with the situation. Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and expect significant delays on surrounding routes.

Witness Appeal

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area around Broadfields Avenue and the A41 eastbound between 10:50pm and 11:10pm is urged to contact the police.
