Earthquake Hits North Sea Coast near Scarborough

Its believed an earthquake has hit the north sea off the coast of North Yorkshire. It had a magnitude of 3.9 on the richter scale and struck at around 6.50pm this evening (Tuesday January 3rd) 100 miles east of Scarborough. British Geological survey seismologists have yet to officially confirm the earthquake, though their devices located in Glasidale around 10 miles east of Whitby show a tremor this evening.
