In Dundee, Police Scotland has expressed concern and issued a public appeal for information following a disturbing incident in which a young woman was seen being forcibly carried into a car after a disturbance at a home.
Incident Details
The incident occurred around 11.50 pm on Saturday in Turnberry Avenue, Dundee. Witnesses reported a disturbance involving a young woman and a man. The man was seen carrying her into a vehicle, described as a dark blue or black Range Rover, with a second man inside the vehicle.
Description of the Woman
Police are especially concerned for the welfare of the woman involved. She is described as being around 20 years of age, with long black hair, and was last seen wearing a short white skirt.
Police Investigation and Appeals
Inspector Grant McGaughay of Police Scotland stated, “We are concerned for the welfare of this female, and it’s imperative we trace her to make sure she is safe and well.” Police are conducting door-to-door inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage in the area to find her.
Request for Public Assistance
The police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward. They are particularly keen to receive any dashcam or private CCTV footage that could provide further insights into the incident.
Vehicle Last Seen
The vehicle in question was last observed travelling along Balgowan Avenue, onto Claverhouse Road, and was last seen on the A90 at the Fintry roundabout.
