Local officers in Dartford have seized approximately 150 suspected deals of cocaine and heroin with the help of a specialist drugs dog during an operation on Joyce Green Lane. The incident occurred at around 2:30 pm on Tuesday, 22 October 2024, after a suspicious vehicle was spotted by a patrol.

Officers approached the vehicle and spoke with the two occupants before detaining them for a search. During the investigation, cash and mobile phones were seized, and the car was transported to a police station for further examination.

PD Hudson, the drugs dog, was deployed and soon indicated toward a door handle inside the vehicle. Upon closer inspection, officers uncovered multiple deals of suspected heroin and cocaine hidden within a concealed compartment.

Two individuals, a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, both from South Ockendon, Essex, were arrested and taken into custody. They have since been bailed to return to the police station while the investigation continues.

Authorities are now looking into the circumstances surrounding the drug seizure, with further analysis expected as part of their ongoing efforts to crack down on drug-related crime in the area.
