Drugs arrest in Deal

Suspected class A drugs have been seized after officers arrested a man in Deal. The driver of a vehicle failed to stop for Kent Police officers in Golf Road at around 1.30am on Thursday 16 August 2018. Following a search of the area the car was found in Peter Street. A 33-year-old man of no fixed address was located nearby and the vehicle was also searched. Along with the drugs, officers seized an angle grinder, torch and mobile phone. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, going equipped for theft and driving without insurance or a licence. He remains in police custody and enquiries are ongoing.
