Driver Flees Scene After BMW Crashes Into House in Crawley

Sussex Police are appealing for information after a white BMW crashed into a house in Winter Gardens, Crawley, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The collision occurred at around 3.50am on Saturday, 26 July, when the car veered off the road and struck the wall of a residential property. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot before emergency services arrived.

Two male passengers who were in the car at the time of the incident are assisting officers with their enquiries.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of serious injuries. Police say they are supporting the occupants of the house while assessing the full extent of the structural damage caused by the crash.

A police spokesperson said:

“We are working to trace the driver involved and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a white BMW being driven in the area before the collision. Any CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage could prove vital to the investigation.”
