Driver Arrested after Serious Collision in Southampton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Southampton on Thursday, December 15. A black Mercedes CLK200 and a pedestrian were in collision at the junction of The Avenue and Westwood Road at 10.55pm. The pedestrian, a 27-year-old man from Southampton, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Southampton, has been arrested in connection with the collision. He was uninjured.
