Dolly Parton’s Family Begs Fans for Prayers as Health Woes Continue – UKNIP

Country music legend Dolly Parton, 79, is facing mysterious health issues, and her family is calling on fans worldwide for love and prayers.

Sister Freida’s Emotional Plea

Just a week after Dolly postponed six shows from her upcoming Las Vegas residency, her younger sister, Freida Parton, 68, shared a heartfelt update on the star’s condition.

Writing on Facebook, Freida revealed, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly.” She urged fans to become “prayer warriors” and cover Dolly with support during this tough time.

“Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.”

“She’s strong, she’s loved. And with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

Las Vegas Residency Postponed Until 2026

Dolly stunned fans when she announced on September 28 that she was postponing her Dolly: Live in Las Vegas residency, originally set for December at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum Theatre, until September 2026. The reason? Unspecified “health challenges.”

On Instagram, the star admitted she must undergo several medical procedures. In true Dolly style, she joked, “It felt like time for my 100,000-mile check-up—though not my usual trip to see the plastic surgeon.”

Despite the setback, she reassured fans, “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

Fans and Fellow Stars Rally Around Dolly

Support poured in from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Actress Olivia Munn left red heart emojis on Dolly’s posts, while singer Brandi Carlile called her “beyond reproach.”

Country star Jennifer Nettles cheered, “Big adventures for you, for sure! Can’t wait to enjoy them with you! In the meantime, tend to yourself and feel better!”

Fans flooded comments with messages such as, “Protect this queen at all costs!” and, “Heal strong, Queen Dolly!”

Recent Health Battles and Personal Loss

This isn’t the first health scare for Dolly this year. Earlier in October, she cancelled a key appearance at Dollywood due to kidney stones but appeared strong and promised to return soon. She’s battled kidney stones before, including a bout in 2015.

Adding to the rough year, Dolly lost her beloved husband, Carl Dean, earlier in 2025 at age 82 after 60 years of marriage. Speaking emotionally about his death, Dolly told the Today Show, “Oh, you know what, I get very emotional when people bring it up. We were together 60 years. I’ve loved him since I was 18 years old.”

She described Carl as a quiet, private man who shunned the spotlight, saying, “He said, ‘I didn’t choose this world, I chose you, and you chose that world. But we can keep our lives separate and together.’ And we do and we have.”

Dolly also revealed Carl inspired her hit song Jolene, written from a bank teller’s perspective who was enamoured with him.

Dolly’s Resilience Shines Through

Despite all challenges, Dolly remains hopeful and determined. As Freida said, “She’s strong, she’s loved,” and with the world lifting prayers, Dolly Parton will surely overcome this latest battle.
