A man tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run while walking his dog in the Welsh village of Llanpumsaint, Carmarthenshire, just days before Christmas.
The fatal collision occurred on a country lane near Caer Salem Baptist Chapel between 6:45 pm and 7:45 pm on Monday, December 23. The vehicle involved, described as a noticeably damaged blue car, fled the scene, prompting police to launch a manhunt for the driver.

“Sadly, a man has died as a result of his injuries. Family liaison officers are supporting his family during this devastating time. The car involved left the scene, and officers are now searching for the driver of a blue vehicle with noticeable damage.
“We are asking anyone in the area during the relevant times, particularly those with dashcam footage, to contact us. The road remains closed and is likely to stay closed for some time while our investigation continues.”
