Distraction Theft at Weston Favell Supermarket: Police Seek Information

Northamptonshire Police are investigating a distraction theft that occurred at the Tesco supermarket in Weston Favell, Northampton, and are seeking assistance in identifying three men believed to be involved.

The incident took place between 10.30 and midday on Friday, May 31. A woman, while paying for her groceries, was observed entering her PIN by an unknown individual. After leaving the store, she was approached by two men in the car park who claimed to have seen her vehicle being damaged. While one man engaged her in conversation, the other stole her bank card from her handbag.

Distraction Theft at Weston Favell Supermarket: Police Seek Information

The stolen card was subsequently used at Tesco Mereway to purchase travel money. The police have released an image of the men involved and are appealing to the public for any information that could aid their investigation.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police urged the public to be vigilant when using bank cards, advising people to cover their PINs and be cautious of distractions.
