Kent Police was called at 6.10am on Saturday 2 September 2023, to the Pelham Road area of town, following a report a man had been seen in possession of a possible firearm. An extensive search of the area was carried out but no one matching the man’s description was located.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Rabey said: ‘An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and our officers are continuing to explore several lines of enquiry to identify and locate the suspect.

‘It is important we speak to the man pictured and I would urge anyone who recognises him or has any other information to call us on 999, quoting reference number 46/157727/23.’
