A Dartford property has been slapped with a three-month closure order after being linked to ongoing drug misuse and anti-social behaviour. The move comes after persistent complaints from local residents and visitors.
Police Seal Off Troubled Willow Road House
On Wednesday 8 October 2025, Kent Police secured a house on Willow Road through a court order at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court. The property, owned by the local authority, was empty when officers shut it down. A warning sign now guards the door, making unauthorized entry a criminal offence punishable by fines or jail time.
Community Fed Up With Disorder, Police Take Action
“Residents and visitors to the area have suffered anti-social behaviour and incidents of disorder involving those using this premises for some time,” said Police Sergeant Rob Wilkinson.
“They raised concerns with their local constables and council enforcement officers, who warned the occupants of the consequences if they continued. Their behaviour failed to improve and we have now put in place prohibitive measures to address this.”
The closure order was enforced under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Dartford Borough Council is now seeking possession of the property to prevent further trouble.
Warnings for Others Living the Anti-Social Lifestyle
PS Wilkinson added: “We work closely with the local authority to tackle disorderly behaviour that can affect the quality of life for residents. Any other people who choose to pursue an anti-social and often criminal lifestyle can expect similar consequences.”
