A man is on the run following a stabbing that took place in a residential flat above the Shisha Grill, located on the corner of Broadway and Mora Road, in Cricklewood.

The incident occurred late on Wednesday night, 6th August 20225  prompting a significant police response after initial reports suggested the suspect may still have been barricaded inside the property. Around 15 armed officers were seen storming the building, shouting commands and forcibly breaching a door.

However, officers found no one inside. A neighbour told reporters that the attacker had already fled the scene before police arrived.

Victim and Suspect Knew Each Other

It has since emerged that the victim and the suspect knew one another and shared the top floor of the building above the grill. Another resident on the same level said the two were generally friendly and had lived there for some time.

“They got along, always said hello,” the neighbour shared. “No one expected something like this.”

The condition of the victim is not currently known, but paramedics were seen entering the building shortly after police forced entry.

Manhunt Underway

The Metropolitan Police have not confirmed whether an arrest has been made. The presence of armed officers and the scale of the response suggests the suspect may be considered dangerous.

Local residents are being urged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or suspicious behaviour.

Police have not released a formal statement, but inquiries are ongoing. It is understood that officers are reviewing CCTV and speaking to other residents in the building.
