County Lines Drug Dealer Jailed After Sussex Police Crack Down on Horsham ‘Milky’ Network

A County Lines drug dealer who ran a Class A supply operation in Horsham has been jailed, following a targeted investigation by Sussex Police.

Joseph Sseruwo, 31, of Peabody Avenue, Pimlico, played a key role in operating the so-called ‘Milky’ drugs line, which was trafficking crack cocaine and heroin into the West Sussex town.

He was sentenced to three years in prison at Lewes Crown Court on May 1, after admitting to four drug offences and one count of money laundering.

The breakthrough came on April 1, when plain-clothes officers from the Specialist Enforcement Unit observed Sseruwo conducting suspected drug deals in East Street, Horsham. As officers moved to detain him, he attempted to discard a bag between two bins—later found to contain more than 100 wraps of Class A drugs.

A subsequent search of a linked address uncovered further cash proceeds and a bladed weapon, strengthening the case against him.

Sseruwo pleaded guilty to the following charges:

Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs said:

“Officers from the Specialist Enforcement Unit regularly carry out plain-clothes patrols to help disrupt the supply of drugs which cause so much harm in our communities.

Sseruwo was dealing heroin and crack cocaine in Horsham, using the ‘Milky’ drugs line. Thanks to the investigation, he had no choice but to plead guilty when he appeared in court.

It demonstrates our determination to catch offenders involved in drug supply and shows we have broken up another criminal group in Horsham.”

Sussex Police have reiterated their commitment to proactive patrols and community safeguarding through continued disruption of County Lines networks.
