City Splash Festival Returns to Celebrate African and Caribbean Culture – UKNIP

South London is set to come alive with the vibrant beats and rhythms of Caribbean and African culture as the City Splash Festival returns to London’s Brockwell Park on bank holiday Monday, May 27. With over 60 artists already announced, the festival promises an authentic celebration of Black culture and music across seven stages.

Headlining this year’s festival is the Grammy-nominated Jamaican reggae and dancehall sensation, Capleton, who returns to the stage to deliver an electrifying performance. Joining him are renowned artists such as the “hitmaker” Beenie Man and the captivating “dancehall sensation” Shenseea. Jamaican star Busy Signal, known for hits like ‘Stay So’, is also set to grace the stage, adding to the stellar lineup.

Other notable artists scheduled to perform include Cameroonian-American singer Libianca, a Billboard Award nominee, and the pioneering dub sound system crew Channel One. Festival-goers can also look forward to sets from Iration Steppas, Rampage Sound, Saxon Sound, Shy FX, and former Chase & Status frontman Rage MC, among others.

Afrobeats and Amapiano selector DJ Neptizzle will be spinning tunes, along with party hosts Dubwise Jamaica, returning for their fourth year at the festival. The festival’s lineup of DJs includes Becca D, DJ Nate, Talia Goddess, Ayanna Heaven, and JJess, Pink Pantheress’ official DJ, ensuring a diverse range of sounds to keep the crowd entertained.

City Splash Festival stays true to its reggae and dub roots with appearances from Sound System, Jahrevelationmuzik, Bigga U Collective, and many more. The festival, known for its authenticity and inclusivity, provides a platform for different communities to connect and celebrate their cultural heritage.

Taking place in Brixton, the heart of reggae and Caribbean culture in the UK, the festival will not only feature incredible music but also food and drink from over 45 Black-owned food traders in partnership with Black Eats LDN. Additionally, festival-goers can explore a creative market and engage in panel discussions, enriching the overall experience.

As anticipation builds for this much-awaited celebration of African and Caribbean culture, City Splash Festival promises to deliver an unforgettable day filled with music, food, and community spirit.
