Child seriously injured after vehicle ploughs into pushlong scooter

Officers investigating a serious collision near Dover are appealing for witnesses to come forward. It was reported that a silver Nissan Qashqai was travelling along Queens Road in Aylesham when it was involved in a collision with a push-along scooter being used by a child who was crossing the road. The collision took place at around 5.45pm on Thursday 23 May. The child sustained an injury and was taken to a London hospital. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into the incident and would like to hear from people who were in the area at the time of the collision or if they might have dashcam footage. Officers would also like to speak to the driver of a red estate car which was reported to be travelling along the road at the time in case they might have potentially witnessed something which could assist officers’ enquiries. Witnesses are asked to call the SCIU appeal line on 01622 798535 or email [email protected] quoting DB/DJ/060/19.
