Child and Man Hospitalised After A406 Collision in Chingford

 

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a road traffic collision on the A406 in Chingford this morning, following reports of a serious accident involving multiple individuals. The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were alerted at 11:30 am on November 12, 2024, and promptly dispatched resources, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and members of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched to the scene.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service stated: “We treated a child and a man at the scene and took them both to hospital by road. Another person declined further treatment.”

A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at 11.38hrs on Tuesday, 12 November to reports of a collision between two vans in Chingford Road, Waltham Forest.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service (LAS), London Fire Brigade (LFB) and London Air Ambulance attended.   Emergency services helped free a 12-year-old occupant from one of the vehicles.   He and another man were taken to a hospital and their injuries were assessed as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening.

No arrests were made. Enquiries ongoing.
