Chatham burglary and car theft suspect charged

Investigating officers have charged a Belvedere man following reports of a burglary and a car theft in Chatham. The incident took place overnight on Saturday 14 September 2019 where car keys were reported stolen from inside a property in Mayweed Avenue, Chatham. A vehicle was also reported stolen from outside the same property and a bankcard, which was inside the car, was reported to have been used in several fraudulent transactions in stores on 15 September. Following enquiries Daniel Mills was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and fraud. The 35-year-old of Ripley Road, Belvedere was also charged with driving whilst disqualified and without insurance. He was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 16 September 2019. At the hearing he was further remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 14 October 2019.
