CCTV Appeal After Sexual Assault at Canning Town Underground Station

Detectives investigating a sexual assault at Canning Town Underground station have released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify.

The incident happened at around 6.20pm on Wednesday 30 July in a stairwell at the station, when a woman was sexually assaulted.

British Transport Police (BTP) believe the man pictured may have vital information that could assist their enquiries.

A BTP spokesperson said:

“If you recognise this man, or have any information that could help the investigation, please contact us as soon as possible.”

Police are urging anyone who was in the station at the time or who saw any suspicious behaviour to come forward.
