Police are appealing for information after jewellery and cash were stolen in a burglary in Freshwater. The burglary took place at a property in Afton Road between 10.30am and 2.30pm on Monday, October 17. Four gold rings, a bracelet with sentimental value and £150 in cash were stolen. PC Hayley Clayton from Isle of Wight CID said: “Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area? You may know the whereabouts of the stolen items, have been offered them or know who has them. “The bracelet belonged to the victim’s mother, who passed away 11 years ago. It is very special to her and she would just like it returned.” Anyone with information should contact PC Clayton on 101, quoting 44160392777, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
