Car Fire in Dartford Spreads to Two Vehicles

Emergency services were called to Hawley Road in Dartford late Saturday night after reports of a car fire.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded at approximately 00:10 on Sunday, 24 November 2024, dispatching three fire engines to the scene. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used high-pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, which had spread to two additional vehicles.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Firefighters remained on-site until 03:04, ensuring the area was safe.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and linked to a fault in the initial vehicle.

Residents in the area praised the quick response of emergency services. Authorities remind vehicle owners to regularly service their cars to minimize the risk of faults leading to such incidents.
