Car and Motorcycle Collision in Leigh Park — Road Remains Closed as Emergency Services Respond
A road in Leigh Park remains closed this evening following a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
The incident is believed to have occurred earlier today on or near Prospect Lane, with both Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and the South Central Ambulance Service attending the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported a large emergency response, including police roadblocks and the presence of an air ambulance. Unconfirmed reports suggest the motorcyclist may have sustained serious injuries.
Road Closure and Ongoing Response
As of 7:30pm, on Sunday 27th Jul 2025 the affected road remains closed in both directions to allow collision investigators and emergency crews to conduct their work safely.
West Leigh and surrounding areas have seen traffic disruption as a result of the ongoing road closure.
