Bromley Downham Way stabbing: Male taken to hospital

Police responded to a call at 3:50 pm on Wednesday (April 17) reporting two men seen with knives in Downham Way. Subsequently, a man was discovered with stab wounds on the same road.

He was swiftly transported to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

At the scene, one individual was apprehended and taken into custody. However, urgent inquiries are underway to locate a second suspect.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were called to Downham Way, Bromley at about 3.50pm on Wednesday, 17 April following reports that two men had been seen with knives.

“Officers and LAS attended the scene, and the man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.”

“One man was arrested at the scene and has been taken into custody. Urgent enquiries are ongoing to trace a second suspect.”
