A 14-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after an incident in Barking which left him with a facial injury.
The Metropolitan Police were called to Station Parade at 9.11pm on Thursday, 7 August, following reports of a disturbance involving a group of people. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
The teenager was found with a cut to his face and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 13-year-old girl was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault. She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at 9.20pm last night (7 August) to reports of a person injured in Station Parade, Barking. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene. We treated a teenager at the scene and took him to hospital.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information that could help their investigation to contact them on 101, quoting CAD 7958/07August.
