In a distressing turn of events, a young boy has been discovered in critical condition after being found in the River Thames. The urgent search for Daniel Alaby, aged five, was initiated on Friday after he went missing from his residence in Thamesmead, south-east London.
According to reports from the Metropolitan Police, Daniel was last seen playing in his room before his disappearance prompted a frantic appeal for information from law enforcement officials.
At approximately 6:23 pm, officers searching for Daniel recovered a child from the river. Immediate medical assistance was administered, with officers performing CPR until paramedics from the London Ambulance Service arrived at the scene.
The child, believed to be Daniel, was swiftly transported to the hospital in a critical condition, where medical professionals continue to provide urgent care.
