Boots Store in Linthorpe Village Closed After Overnight Ram-Raid

Boots Pharmacy in Linthorpe Village has been forced to close today after a dramatic overnight ram-raid.

Police are currently at the scene on Linthorpe Road, where significant damage can be seen to the shopfront. The metal shutter has been smashed in, leaving a gaping hole into the pharmacy.

The incident, believed to have happened in the early hours of this morning, has sparked a major police investigation. Officers have cordoned off the area while forensic teams carry out their enquiries.

It is not yet confirmed what, if anything, was stolen during the raid. No arrests have been reported at this time.

Boots has advised customers that the Linthorpe branch will remain closed until further notice.

Anyone with information about the ram-raid is urged to contact Cleveland Police or report anonymously through Crimestoppers.
