Body Found in Canterbury During Search for Missing Man

Kent Police have confirmed that a body was discovered on Whitehall Road in Canterbury during the search for a missing 26-year-old man from the area.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the afternoon of Tuesday, 10 June, where the man was sadly pronounced deceased.

While formal identification is pending, officers have notified the family of the missing man, who had been the subject of recent appeals.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Community Reaction and Investigation Status

The discovery has prompted an outpouring of sympathy from local residents, many of whom had joined efforts to locate the man in recent days.

Police have stated that no criminal investigation is under way at this stage, and their focus is now on supporting the family and preparing official documentation for the coroner’s inquest.
