Asda to remove single knives from sale

Asda has agreed following a criss meeting to remove single knives from sale by the end of April. The announcement comes following growing concerns about knife crime across the UK. The popular chain confirmed that the items would be removed from all stores by the end of April following increased concerns about knife-related deaths across the UK. Since January 2019 39 people have been killed in a knife related crime. A spokesman for supermarket group said then believed they have “responsibility” to play in making the community safe. It’s expected other supermarket grouos are likely to follow.
