In a joint operation, officers from Dorset Police and the Metropolitan Police have made an arrest in connection with the tragic death of a woman in Bournemouth. The investigation centres around a violent incident that occurred on Durley Chine Beach late on Friday, May 24, 2024.
Fatal Stabbing Incident
At approximately 11.42pm authorities received a distressing report of a double stabbing on Durley Chine Beach. A 34-year-old woman Amie Gray from Poole lost her life at the scene, while another woman, aged 38 and also from Poole, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in a local hospital.

Swift Progress in the Investigation
Following extensive inquiries, law enforcement swiftly apprehended a 20-year-old man from the Croydon area of London. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey, leading the Major Crime Investigation Team, emphasised the speed at which the investigation has progressed, culminating in the arrest in London.
