Detectives are urgently appealing for information following a terrifying armed robbery that occurred at commercial premises in the Suffolk Road area on Friday, 21 July. The incident, involving three masked men, has left the community shaken and authorities seeking vital leads to apprehend the perpetrators.
According to reports, shortly before 20.55 the assailants, one of them armed with a suspected firearm, entered the rear of a fast-food takeaway in the area. Inside the premises, the staff were confronted and ordered to the floor, as the masked individuals demanded money. After obtaining a sum of cash, the robbers swiftly fled the scene, leaving the staff unharmed but deeply shaken by the traumatic ordeal.
Detective Sergeant Kennedy, leading the investigation, emphasised the seriousness of the incident and the urgency to gather crucial information. The police are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the robbery or has any relevant details to come forward and share their knowledge. Any piece of information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be critical in helping the authorities solve the case.
