Armed Police Seen Near Canterbury High Street in Connection with Fatal Stabbing

Armed police were reportedly seen at a property near Canterbury High Street early this morning, around 5 a.m., in what is believed to be a raid connected to the ongoing murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in the city last night.

Kent Police launched a murder investigation after a 23-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Thursday, 10 October 2024, on Canterbury’s High Street. Officers responded to reports of a disturbance near the junction with St Margaret’s Street at around 11:31 p.m., but the man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

This morning’s armed police presence is thought to be part of efforts to locate further suspects involved in the incident. Four men, all in their 20s, have already been arrested in connection with the attack and remain in custody as enquiries continue.
