Armed officers from the Metropolitan Police were dispatched to Lakedale Road in Plumstead after gunshots were fired at a car. The incident occurred near Brewery Road shortly before 13:10 BST on Friday.
Initial police inquiries revealed that a vehicle had sustained damage due to a firearm discharge. Fortunately, no victims have been identified at this time.
The area around Lakedale Road remains cordoned off as investigators continue their work. Despite their efforts, no arrests have been made yet, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
