A harrowing incident involving what is believed to be a dangerous dog attacking pedestrians prompted the immediate response of armed police officers from the Met Police Elite SO19 unit. The incident unfolded on Sunday morning, at approximately 11:00 am, in the vicinity of Queen’s Avenue, Greenford.
Armed officers were thrust into action when reports flooded in regarding a menacing dog that posed a serious threat to the safety of pedestrians in the area.
As the situation escalated, armed officers from the Met Police Elite SO19 unit were dispatched to the scene to swiftly address the imminent danger. The officers encountered the aggressive canine, and in the interest of public safety, they resorted to using their firearms to incapacitate the animal.
However, despite being shot, the dog managed to flee from the scene with officers closely in pursuit. The breed of the dog has not been officially confirmed, but it is understood to be a dangerous breed, which necessitated the involvement of armed police officers to handle the situation.
Police actively working to locate and secure the dog to prevent any further potential harm. Meanwhile, the Met Police has been approached for comment on the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.

A spokesman fo the Met Police said:
Police were called at 10:39ams on 14 January to a report of a dog out of control having killed another dog in Queens Avenue, Greenford.
Officers attended and took the decision to destroy the dog at the scene in order to prevent it causing any further serious harm.
