Two Teenagers Detained For Firearms Offences After Armed Stop In Maidstone

Armed officers from Kent Police have been called to Maidstone Street following reports of a man with a gun.

Officers ordered a man to stand still and carry out a search of a teenager on Sunday afternoon. One person has been detained for offences by officers and he has been placed under arrest.

A spokesman for Kent Police told UKNIP: Kent Police was called at 2.45pm on Sunday 23 April to a report a person had been seen possibly in possession of a weapon near Week Street in Maidstone.

Police, including firearms officers, attended and at around 3.30pm two teenage girls were arrested and taken into custody. Imitation firearms were seized.
