Armed Police Arrest Man for Possession of Firearm on Route 159 Bus in Streatham

Police were called at 10:27am on Monday, 16 September, to a Route 159 bus at the Streatham BR Station bus terminal after reports of a man in possession of a firearm.

Armed Officers from the Met Police quickly responded, boarding the bus and arresting the suspect on suspicion of possessing a firearm. A suspected air rifle was recovered at the scene.

There were no reports of any injuries, and the situation was brought under control without further incident. The investigation is ongoing.

A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at 10:27hrs on Monday, 16 September to a Route 159 bus at the bus station near Streatham BR Station. Specialist firearms officers boarded the bus and arrested a man on suspicion of possession of a firearm. A suspected Air rifle was recovered.

No reports of any injuries.
