Appeal Launched After Woman in Her 70s Seriously Injured in Oldswinford Collision

West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision in Oldswinford that left a woman in her 70s hospitalised with serious injuries.

The incident occurred just before 4pm on Thursday, 17 April, on Hagley Road near the service station at the junction with Glasshouse Hill. A red Vauxhall Corsa struck the woman as she was crossing the road.

Emergency services responded swiftly, and the woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

The driver of the Corsa remained at the scene and is cooperating with police as enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said:

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or captured it on dashcam. Any information could be vital in helping us understand exactly what happened.”
