Appeal for Witnesses Following Serious Collision in Hornchurch

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information or footage to come forward following a serious collision in Hornchurch. The incident occurred at 2.21pm on Tuesday, 8 October, near Tesco on Airfield Way, involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, attended the scene where a male pedestrian in his 60s was found with serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital, where he remains under treatment. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage of the incident to contact them via 020 8597 4874 or by calling 101, quoting reference CAD 4342/08OCT.
