Girl Suffers Serious Injuries In Collision With Van In Swindon

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a car on Pond Lane, Malmesbury on October 2.

At around 1pm a woman was knocked off her bike by a silver saloon type vehicle, reportedly travelling at excess speed, causing a serious leg injury.

PC Charles Joseph said: “This is a very concerning incident in which a woman in her 70s was knocked off her bike, and left injured by the side of the road. She was helped by another motorist and spent 12 days in hospital. She is still reporting a lot of pain.

“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries including watching through CCTV and are now seeking the help of the public for information that could help them piece together what happened.”
